Erasmus from Rotterdam came close to the moria, the madness, of his friend Thomas More writer in turn,  to More we owe the creation of a book like Utopia.

 

Thomas More, moria, invents and describes his island that does not exist and called it Utopia;

Nowhere.

For Comunity One we started from the stylobate trying to create a place that, as such, was the creator of the utopian dream of coexistence between bipeds.

 

We had an industrial space of a thousand square meters, located in a suburb of Milan with high industrial characterization but in rapid transformation, adjacent to the new university districts of Bicocca and well served by public transport, the metro statio line 1 is a few hundred meters far.

 

We imagined invisible houses made of flying rooms, houses to live in sharing;

 

Community within the community.

 

We bet on the vital importance of beauty and saved what can be saved because time is value;

Priceless.

 

Truth was the fellow of the journey, the humble elegance of austere materials;

True.

 

Iron, metal, wood, concrete, natural elements left exposed, ecology of the essentials that becomes luxury.

 

The industrial plan provided for the construction of twelve apartments, part for the sales market and part for the rental market.

 

Thanks to the madness, the preliminary work on the plants has generated large rooms that can be used as small studios with private mezzanines, living room/ studio on the ground floor and loft sleeping area.

 

The apartments for sale, smaller, with same fittings of those for the rental market, have been designed with great attention to circulation, obtaining excellent livability in relation to the small spaces available.

 Twelve lofts, twelve theatrical ribalta for the life of the community guests, twelve words that become a story.

Philosopher and homless, the commercial space of Comunityone, will be attentive guest of events, lights, colors and sounds;

 

Door to the city, open space to the ideas of its guests.

 

For the community we wanted common spaces that combined a necessary functionality with an opportunity for aggregation, thus the idea of the 'laundry' community center, overlooking and immersed in the garden.

 

Here the guests of the community can play at washerman and while the perfect machines will provide washing and drying of a thousand and a thousand items, perfect, our boys can seriously train with the equipment of the adjacent gym.

 

The presence of a communal laundry also allows to gain space inside the apartments, to reduce costs and consumption, and make the minds free   pindaric jumps no longer crushed by the weight of periodic maintenance.

Plato spoke of philosophy in the garden of the Akademia, we, who modestly have at our disposal this uncultivated orchard, we are happy to tell about the architecture,  building selling and renting houses that changed the course of our lives and, we bet, they will divert the course of your.

 

Fruit trees, flowering trees, trees that mark the passing of the seasons, the community garden will host a thousand annoying insects.

The fallen fruits will dirty the avenues.

Countless leaves will have to be collected.

The birds will infest and dirty the windows.

 

And a terrible, annoying water noise will not allow sleep.

 

 The orchard will ensure maximum shade during the hot season, while autumn and winter will bring the sun into the houses;

 

In any case, it will make warm in yours hearts.
